The Ahkal-Teke, one of the best horse breeds around. But sadly, they are rare. Only about 3500 of their kind are on this earth. Ahkal-Tekes are originally from Turkmenistan, with Ahkal, meaning pure, and Teke, being the name of the tribe who bred these horses. Over the limited amount of Ahkal-Tekes, they are usually found in Turkmenistan, Russia, Europe, Australia and North America. They are usually around 16 hands high, with a Buckskin, or palamino sheen coat. But most colours can also be found with these horses.
